Description
Disclaimer: I'm not a writer, I'm an artist, so apologies if Soren's short little story here isn't that great lol. I also give permission for anyone who may want it, to do what you will with my character. Give him an ice cream or subject him to the cruelest fates if you wish! Anyway, I hope you have a great day!
Soren, the Abnormal.
Soren has a limited amount of light per day that's completely random, that he can use to synthesize different objects or weapons. Downside is, he has a 1 in 5 chance for a synthesis to not work, expending that certain amount of light and breaking the thing he attempted to make. This is known as a "Bust". Naturally, the more complex and larger a synthesis, the more Light he will need to expend. Also, the more light he has, the more blue he will glow around his body. If he has no light or his powers aren't active, there will be no change in his colour and his marks will not glow. If he has a low amount, he'll glow purple while a synthesis is active, with moderate light, navy, and high amounts of light, blue.
Preferred weapon: None. Jack of all trades, Master of none
Story:
A lone spirit born some time after the events of Will of the Wisps. Thanks to a cut his blade suffered along the journey past Niwen, he was born with several imperfections, the cuts on his feathers, tints that can be peridoically seen while his ability is in use, all throughout his body, and the inability to properly communicate with his tree of Origin, hence the title, "The Abnormal". He could sense that something was calling to him, but never would be able to determine what exactly it was.
When he first sprouted from Ori, he had drifted far past the charted lands of Niwen, leaving him all alone to fight and survive. Naturally, he had grown up to become impressively adept when it comes to survival and combat. Though one day, while he was still quite young, learning to survive, he had sustained a permanent scar to his left ear. From that day forward, he had learned to never lower his guard out in the wilderness. This inevitably exhausted him to the point he had almost lost all ability to convey emotion, leaving him completely stoic for the foreseeable future.
One day, whilst settling down after a triumphant hunt, a spirit by the name of Rai had found him all alone. Even in the darkness of the woods surrounding them, Soren had noticed Rai after he broke a branch and wasted no time, pouncing on him. Even Rai was almost subdued by Soren, despite his impressive speed compared to other spirits. After a short bout, Rai had convinced Soren that he meant no harm, expressing his shock to have found another spirit outside of Niwen. After the altercation, the two sat down and had a chat over some meat Soren had cooking. For the first time in a while, He had finally known how it felt to not be lonely. He was happy. An emotion he had never felt before. From that day on, the two had became "Bros," vowing to each other that they would do whatever it takes to keep one another safe, no matter what. After the two had finished their conversation, Rai offered to lead Soren back to Niwen, a safe place where he could meet other spirits like Rai. Gaining a taste of friendship, Soren was instantly hooked with the proposal that he could meet more people like Rai. Without hesitation, Soren had agreed.
Once they had arrived, the first thing that was in order that Rai had in mind was bringing him to a spirit well. Noticing all of his scars, he thought to see if they could do something about it. After teaching Soren how to use the spirit well, Soren had felt incredibly rejuvenated, the best he had felt in his life. He had thankfully healed the scar on his ear. The next thing the two had done, was investigate the strange feeling that Soren had, that since grown stronger once he stepped into Niwen. It had grown so strong, that he could finally sense where it was coming from. Following his senses, it lead him straight to the tree he had sprouted from, Ori himself. Upon touching the tree, the two had finally been brought back together, with Ori praising him for how he was able to survive without his guidance for so long. Afterwards, his link back to the tree was restored, though still unable to heal his scars. It didn't matter. Soren had almost grown fond of his injuries and imperfections, almost prideful. He didn't care. Once finished, Rai had decided to tour Soren around Niwen for a while. After his tour, Soren had grown very fond of Luma Pools, and its luscious eco-system, discovering a great interest in swimming and aquatic life.
From that day forth, Soren had never felt alone ever again. He had even made it a routine to meditate at the tree everyday to clear his mind and pay respects to Ori. He had hoped for one day where he could see him in his original spirit form. One day, So he could finally shake his hand with his creator, and pay the respects he feels Ori truly deserves.
Sometime later;
Soren found himself in a troubling situation, one he could not leave unharmed. This event had unfortunately lost him his left antennae. Not much is currently known about said event, as Soren himself isn't willing to share anything of the incident. Its back now, but even so he refuses to inform people what happened.
