A young spirit of light, gifted with the power of a warrior. Gabriel was born within Aromia Village, a settlement named after the Aromia Woods of Nirel. He lived in a cliffside house with his mother and father, where he could look at the beautiful view of the village from the balconies. His parents were renowned as exceptional warriors, gifted with extraordinary battle skills and powerful spirit abilities they use to protect others who cannot protect themselves. He would train and hone his skills everyday within the forest, using his signature weapon, the Spirit Edge, to perfect his technique and become a better warrior. He also likes to explore Nirel's territories and mostly take a walk in Cherry Blossom Valley, where he admires the beautiful pink trees and their falling petals. Whenever a threat emerges in the village, he'll come in and put an end to the threat. At the end of the day, it was another job well done.
One day, as Gabriel took a walk through Cherry Blossom Valley, he comes across someone: a female moki, named Flora, whose family moved in from Niwen. She had a particular interest in foliage and these cherry blossom trees had caught her interest the most. While Gabriel didn't really excel in socialization, he and Flora began to talk and share things with each other, such as what they do or what they liked. Eventually, Gabriel grabs a little cherry blossom and offers it to Flora, whom she kindly accepts and puts it right next to her ear. From there, they became friends and both parted ways with plans of meeting together again.
However, the next day as Gabriel waited for Flora to come, he decided to walk around the valley, not too far from the area he was going to meet her. Then, he noticed a strange cave hidden by a wall of cherry blossom flowers. Driven by curiosity, he decided to explore this secret cave to find what was inside. After some time exploring, he came across a rather strange ancestral tree with a large ray of light shining down upon it from the hole in the ceiling. Taking a closer look at the tree, it had strange runic markings around the hollow where the ancestral light was stored… and speaking of which, the ancestral light had a more ethereal glow to it. Reaching his hand out to the light, a burst of energy erupts from the ancestral tree, the runic markings glowing and starting to spread throughout the room. Gabriel starts to levitate above the ground as streaks of energy begin to flow into his body from the ancestral light. As he inadvertently absorbed the essence of the strange ancestral light, Gabriel fell to the ground unconsciously, the runic markings that had spread throughout the room dimming to no glow.
Unconscious, Gabriel begins to dream of strange events he has never seen before… but they felt like memories.. memories that Gabriel shouldn't have. Eventually, he wakes up in his room, disoriented and confused, with Flora and his parents standing over him around his bed. They weren't sure what happened and Gabriel tried to explain what he saw in that cave and even told them of the strange dreams he had when he was unconscious. Unfortunately, none of them knew what he was talking about. He was at a loss for explanation and was even unsure what that ancestral tree was. Knowing them, they had some kind of spirit ability that other spirits can obtain when absorbing their light. However, Gabriel was unsure how to even manifest this unknown spirit ability… but even then, he felt… different. He didn't know what kind of different he was feeling.. and he wasn't even sure what those strange memories were… so he was at a loss, and only time can tell what had happened to him.
